Well, our first stop was to Elizabeth City Coast Guard base. We camped there for 5 nights after our household goods were packed up and getting ready to go to the Cape. The base really doesn't have a campground, it just had a few sites to park an rv. It was decent enough to go to and sleep.
We left Saturday June 12th and headed for Washington, D.C. We stayed at Andrews Air Force base Fam Camp in Maryland. It was nothing great and not much to do for the kids. It was very inexpensive since it was on a military base ($16 per night for full hook-up). The sites were small and the roads were very bumpy gravel, but the base itself was awesome and the bathrooms were clean (which is always a plus). We stayed there 2 night and visited Washington D.C. 2 days in a row. We went to a few of the museums and the Smithsonian Zoo.
We left Maryland Monday afternoon with Hershey, PA being our next destination. We arrived at Hershey Highmeadow Campground a few hours later. It was the best campground we have been to. So much to do for everyone. It was pricey( I believe $50 per night), but so worth it! The bathrooms were somewhat clean, but could have been cleaner! But the pull through, full hook up sites and the playgrounds and 3 pools were AWESOME!! They had an arcade and very cute country store too. We had a blast. Tuesday a.m. we went to Hershey world and got a free tour of the chocolate factory. The kids loved it. We have decided that we are vacationing there for a week next spring. :)
Tuesday p.m. we headed for West Point, N.Y. We camped at Round Pond which was also at a military base. It was very beautiful on the tippy top of a mountain. It was quite scary pulling the beast to the top, but Ryan did it. It was ok priced at $22 per night. The bathrooms were not that clean, but the camp keeper was so nice it made up for it. :) Ryan took the kids paddle boating(which they loved)! Unfortunately, they didn't have sewer due to being on top of the mountain so Ryan had his first experience with dumping the yuck, lol! Overall, a pretty campground.
Onward bound we went to our last stop, Mountainview Campground in Wolcott, Vt. It had very small sites and was very pricey($50 per night). There was no playground. 2 pools, but nothing great and felt like the kids were annoying other people at the pool. The bathrooms were clean, but the owners were jerks. We got in trouble and cursed at for sitting around the bonfire with some of my fam members at 11 p.m. ( much longer story, but to put it mildly, we will NEVER go back!) Thank the lord we were only there 2 nights, lol.
We left Saturday for our final destination: Cape Cod!! We stayed at Cape Cod Camp Resort in east Falmouth while we waited for our household goods to be delivered. It was great, no complaints. Nice lg sites, 2 big pools, huge playground and arcade. We thought the price was good considering it was June in a tourist area. ($49 per night). But we thought it was ridiculous that they charged $5 extra per day per car! Also added $3 per day per pet. Everyone was friendly and we really enjoyed being there. We would and probably will go back!
I think I have covered everything up until our most recent camp trip which I will post about tomorrow. Thanks for reading, cheers, and happy camping!!

Hello all
Hello! So, I decided to start a blog of our camping adventures. I am very excited to share all the places that we camp with everyone. We purchased a 29 foot travel trailer in May with hopes of getting many good times out of it. So far we have already camped at 7 different campgrounds. I am going to list them all now to catch up with our most recent trip this weekend. Happy reading and thanks for following!
