August 11th-13 2010

We didn't wait very long before we were off again. This time we decided to try a campground off of the Cape.
After a lot of researching we went with Sandy Pond Campground in Plymouth, Ma. It was a decent place and well priced ($42 per night for full hook up) but they gave a 10% discount to first time guests! woo hoo! The site was nice and large, but NO shade! It had a playground, but it was ancient and boring!
The trip started off bad too. We weren't even there 5 minutes and my dumb butt tried to move the picnic table by myself. It had big heavy metal legs. Well, I had one leg more forward to be able to pull hard and all of a sudden the table came flying at me and ripped my big toenail off. I thought I broke my toe, lol. So after a lot of crying and complaining, Ryan bandaged it up and I was a limping fool the rest of the trip!
It ended up being a lot of fun though, we went hiking and they had a pond that the kids LOVED swimming in and trying to catch fish in. We did smores over the fire both night too!!
Then on the last day the kids were at the playground... and of course Lexy gets hurt! Ant and Lex were both on a metal teeter totter from like 1980 and when Ant slammed down she went jerking forward into the metal bar. Her chin was
I figured we had better go home soon because we were a walking mess! Overall, it was fun and we would go back! :)

July 29-30 2010

So, Ryan and I decided at the last minute last Tuesday that we needed a little break from everything. We were really missing our camper. Of course trying to find a campground on the Cape in the middle of the summer was a bit of a challenge, but after calling 6 campgrounds, I finally found one in Dennis. It was called Old Chatham Road campground.
We headed out Thursday after Ryan got off of work. The campground was high priced ($50 per night) for full hook up, but we expected that it would be. The site was nice and big and really close to the awesome playground and pool. The only complaint I have is that it felt more like a retirement community then a campground, but we made the best of it! I don't think we will be going back though. lol.
We went to the drive-in theatre in Wellfleet, which was so cool! We all loved it!! Then we went back to the camper and made smores! (yummy). We both agreed that Saturday came too quick. Now exactly a week later, Ryan asked me if we can go camping again this weekend. lol.
